in all honesty this incident was a completely crazy coincidence. They weren’t using explosives, nobody burnt down the forrest. The plane just malfunctioned. It seems like an unfortunate accident.

@Ghostsheetz I am not convinced this was good piloting (the plane looked low for a flight over people, but I don't know MX's aviation regulations, nor their regulations for dumping stuff on people; Pulling up during the dump, if that's what they did, was also not a great procedure; that said, I am not a pilot).

@Ghostsheetz I'm not beyond consideration that the investigators find a cause here that isn't due to pilot negligence (where I'm leaning), or that Mexico didn't enforce something similar to the USA's ADs, but I'll want to see that in the report to believe that. In the meantime, flying at high speed, low altitude over a crowded area while not apparently correcting the plane's attitude when a huge center of gravity shift occurs (water tank is in front of pilot) is what it appears to have been.
